Let me start by saying "We LOVE cheese"!

In 2021 Sarah Kestle (me) and Steve Grise (my husband) moved from Toronto to Midland for the love of Georgian Bay. As we settled in, we found that King Street had almost everything we needed within walking distance. It's a fabulous town!! But what about cheese?? We don't want to leave town to find some good cheese.

Steve and I both have longstanding ties to the area. Steve was born in Midland, and my family moved to Collingwood in the early 80's. Last year we moved to Midland permanently and are loving it! If we are not sampling and sourcing the tastiest cheeses, you'll find us on the water enjoying our time on Tukanuz.

I have spent 35+ years in the insurance industry and decided that it was time to take my passion and share it with others. There is so much to learn about cheese and so many exciting things to investigate. I love to share what I know (which seems to be so little in the massive dairy universe!), but even more so I love to hear about your experiences with cheese - your favourites, dislikes, recipes...anything. Always happy to chat with anyone!

For Steve, moving to Midland was coming back to his roots. Steve was born in Midland and the Grise family was very involved in the town dating back to 1879 when Didace Grise 1 started a butcher shop in Midland. The family later built the Royal Hotel and added the Delawana Inn. The family was in the resort business for 5 generations and later added Elgin House and Aston Villa, where Steve grew up.

Steve now works in the GIS industry (you know...that mapping stuff) and then helps me with every spare minute he has.
